Master watchmaker and chronometer-maker Ferdinand Berthoud made an indelible imprint on history with his fabulous creations, including the 18th century Marine Clocks that guided the vessels of the King of France towards new horizons. Today, while our purpose lies first and foremost in paying tribute to this exceptional artisan and his incredibly destiny, we also aim to exalt the very essence and the inherent fascination of the watchmaking art.

Stemming from a reflective process undertaken in tribute to the horological genius of Ferdinand Berthoud, the new timepiece from Chronométrie FERDINAND BERTHOUD embodies a modern vision of the creations that the master might create if he were still living today.
Housed in an imposing octagonal case with watertight portholes, the new Chronomètre FERDINAND BERTHOUD FB 1 is equipped with an original mechanical hand-wound movement comprising more than 1,120 components.
Visible through the dial opening, the motion of the wheel and pinion driving the tourbillon carriage in the opposite direction to the fourth wheel is a mesmerising sight equalled only by the magnificent show that can be admired through the case-back.
The strikingly beautiful movement of the FERDINAND BERTHOUD FB 1 chronometer draws the gaze to its refined elegance. It speaks as much to novices as to those in the know by revealing its stunning complexity highlighted by a design focusing on pure, flowing lines and transparency.

Abrité dans un imposant boîtier octogonal à hublots étanches, le nouveau Chronomètre FERDINAND BERTHOUD FB 1 est équipé d’un mouvement mécanique à remontage manuel inédit, animé par plus de 1120 composants.
Visible à travers une ouverture dans le cadran, le mouvement du mobile entraineur de cage de tourbillon tournant dans le sens opposé à la roue de secondes offre un spectacle envoutant qui n’a d’égal que celui visible depuis le fond de la montre.
